Job summary

AuthoraCare Collective seeks a Senior Medical Director to guide the House Calls and GUIDE dementia care programs. This full-time role reports to leadership and participates in strategic and clinical governance while ensuring regulatory readiness and quality outcomes.

The position balances direct patient care (about 60%) with executive leadership (roughly 40%), collaborating with the COO and program teams to support growth, fiscal sustainability, and patient-centered care in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree.
• Minimum of five years of experience in chronic and terminal patient care, including frail and elderly populations.
• CPR Certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license; automobile liability insurance and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate clinical vision and strategy for House Calls and GUIDE.
• Promote evidence-based practice standards across the service line.
• Provide leadership in quality outcomes, regulatory readiness and value-based care initiatives.
• Oversee clinical governance and provider oversight within a dyad framework with the COO.
• Maintain an active clinical practice within House Calls and/or GUIDE with substantial patient care time.
