Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Senior Medical Director to lead late-phase endocrinology trials, guide data analysis, and shape regulatory strategy. You will report to the VP of Clinical Development, Endocrinology, and collaborate across medical affairs, operations, statistics, and regulatory teams.

This role requires MD, residency/fellowship, and extensive industry experience in clinical trial design, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MD degree required and board certification in endocrinology or genetics preferred.
• Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience with clinical trial design and execution.
• At least 10 years of industry experience; senior leadership in clinical development desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and safety monitoring of late-phase endocrinology trials.
• Represent clinical development on project teams and Collaborate cross-functionally.
• Oversee clinical monitoring processes and data interpretation.
• Ensure regulatory documents and trial reports are completed with high rigor.
