Job summary

BioCryst invites a Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development to lead medical oversight across phases, shape development strategies, and interact with regulatory teams. You will provide scientific leadership, author key trial documents, and monitor safety with the Product Team and CRO partners.

The role requires MD with postgraduate training and 7+ years in industry clinical research, including medical monitoring, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MD with postgraduate training and 5+ years of clinical experience.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in a relevant specialty preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in industry clinical research including medical monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight across all stages of clinical development and safety oversight.
• Lead medical strategy and contribute to regulatory documents (IND/NDA, MAAs).
• Offer medical leadership to Product Team and cross-functional subteams.
• Monitor adverse events and ensure ethical conduct of protocols.
• Coordinate with CROs, investigators, and sites to ensure study quality.
