Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks an experienced Clinical Development Senior Medical Director to lead translational and clinical plans for cardiovascular medicine within RIIRU. You will shape study designs, guide regulatory interactions, and oversee safety governance across programs.

Based in the Cambridge, MA/Waltham, MA area, you will drive cross-functional collaboration with biology, regulatory, and commercial partners to deliver patient-focused outcomes and pioneering medicines.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and board certification/eligibility in cardiovascular medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research and development.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, GCP, and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead translational and clinical plans and study designs for CDP.
• Deliver clinical pillars of the translational table and endpoints.
• Maintain relationships with biology, regulatory, clinical operations, and commercial teams.
• Provide medical monitoring and governance across projects.
