Job summary

Gilero is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead design and development projects for medical devices and drug delivery products. You will drive concepts through commercialization, ensuring we meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The role requires 8+ years in the medical device field, BPM certification preferred, and a willingness to work on-site in Durham, NC. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate across engineering, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with 5+ years as a Project Manager in Medical Devices.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Willing to work in the Durham office a minimum of 4 days a week.
• BS in Engineering or 4-year technical degree.
• Knowledge of FDA/ISO regulations.
• Strong project management skills, able to work solo or in teams.
• Strong writing skills and/or data analysis.
• Effective communication with customers and vendors in a technical capacity.
• Competent with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Organize project activities, lead the project team, prioritize tasks within timelines and budgets.
• Lead multi-year medical device development projects (electronic and disposable devices).
• Maintain project scope and manage out-of-scope requests.
• Forecast engineering resources for short/mid/long-term needs.
• Generate financial and project reports for stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients for updates and manage vendor relationships.
• Support business development with timelines and budgets for opportunities and extensions.
• Coordinate internal and external project meetings and mentor junior staff.
