Job summary

Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure compliant, cost-effective sourcing, lead RFQs, negotiate contracts, and deliver measurable cost reductions. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in direct materials procurement, commodity management or strategic sourcing.
• Experience in regulated medical device or life sciences environments.
• Strong knowledge of total cost of ownership, supplier qualification and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute direct materials commodity strategies to support objectives and supply continuity.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify and develop third-party manufacturing partners and strategic suppliers.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for new product introductions and supplier transitions.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes: market analysis, RFQ/RFP, bid evaluation, supplier selection and implementation.
• Negotiate contracts and long-term supplier agreements with direct material suppliers and CMOs.
• Identify and realize cost reductions via design-to-cost, value engineering and supplier productivity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Finance and Legal to align sourcing plans.
• Monitor supplier performance, risk and market trends; implement mitigation plans.
• Maintain commodity roadmaps, savings pipelines, and supplier scorecards.
