Job summary

Enovis is seeking a Sr. Prototype Machinist in Austin, TX to work with a cross-functional product team in manufacturing surgical instruments and implants. You will interpret drawings, set up machines, and program CAM software to produce high-precision prototypes and parts.

The role requires extensive CNC milling/lathe experience, solid CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks/MasterCam), and a focus on quality, safety, and documentation in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 15+ years experience in CNC Mills and Lathes.
• Experience with medical devices/orthopedics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings to plan setup and manufacture surgical instruments and implants.
• Operate MasterCam and CAM tools to create programs for required tasks.
• Inspect precision parts and ensure accuracy with measuring equipment.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and proper recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, NPD and specials engineering.
