Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 6 years or Master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of related work experience.
• 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of directly related work experience.
• Level III requires a degree plus years of experience and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype and evaluate a wide range of medical devices and equipment.
• Utilize CAD and drafting tools to create models, prototypes and drawings.
• Conduct product testing, feasibility assessments and failure analyses.
• Determine design specifications and perform adjustments, calibration and iterative improvements.
• Create and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Manage project schedules and budgets for assigned development projects.
• Perform clinical and preclinical assessments of devices.
• Support other departmental programs and initiatives as needed.
