Responsibilities

• Assign inpatient and outpatient hospital coding according to guidelines.
• Review patients' medical records and promote specificity in physician documentation.
• Assist with auditing records retrospectively to validate accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Educate the Medical Staff as needed to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
