The ideal candidate will apply appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to inpatient and outpatient accounts and possess a CCS, CIC, or CCDS certification alongside a minimum of three years coding experience in an acute care setting. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years coding in acute care setting required.
CCS, CIC or CCDS required; RHIA or RHIT certification preferred.
Responsibilities
Apply appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD-, CPT & modifiers) to inpatient or outpatient accounts.
Queries physicians to improve/clarify documentation on inpatient records.
