Qualifications

• Must have ≥5 years physician coding experience.
• Credentialing in CPC or related certification.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Abstract information from medical records into billing platforms.
• Communicate professionally with providers, practice management, and other stakeholders.
• Code medical records using ICD-10 and CPT coding rules.
• Enter and validate charges using appropriate tools and validate diagnoses with the documentation.
• Compare charges on accounts with procedures coded and identify discrepancies; notify Coding Manager.
• Identify trends and educational opportunities to improve coding accuracy.
