Job summary

You will review documentation for medical necessity, support charge capture, and collaborate with physicians to ensure compliant reimbursement.

The role requires Florida residency and CPC or CCS-P certification, with 5+ years of coding and billing experience.

Qualifications

• Florida residency required and coding certification(s) up to date.
• Five plus years of coding and billing experience including ICD-10-CM and CPT.
• Knowledge of AMA and CMS guidelines for diagnostic and procedure codes.
• Ability to review documentation for medical necessity and charge capture.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient encounters using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
• Review clinical documentation for medical necessity and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with providers to resolve coding and billing issues.
• Identify and report down coding and up coding trends to leadership.
• Maintain current coding credentials and complete ongoing education.
