Job summary

You will validate coding levels by reviewing clinical notes, collaborate with clinical teams, and help implement documentation and revenue enhancement opportunities while minimizing denials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; CPC certification preferred.
• 5–10 years related experience in physician coding.
• CPC Certification required or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialty coding for services and medical office visits.
• Validate and determine appropriate coding levels by reviewing clinical documentation.
• Ensure documentation supports charges to prevent denials/underpayments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to identify and implement documentation and coding modifications.
• Review CPT and ICD-10 code changes and ensure alignment with medical necessity policies.
• Identify and implement revenue enhancement opportunities with Sr. Billing Analyst.
