Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, Advanced Care Practitioners and nurses in providing patient care, prepare exam rooms, validate identifiers, and assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and data entry.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, drawing blood, processing specimens, documenting in EPIC, coordinating with care teams, and ensuring patient privacy and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• Certification from a Nationally Recognized accredited institution (AAMA; AMT; NCCT; NHA) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for examinations.
• Measure and record patient vital signs and collect blood samples.
• Assist with charting, orders, and documentation in EPIC.
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA; support continuity of care.
