Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training per DD214 in lieu of a formal program.
• Current BLS certification and CMA/RMA certification or equivalent per Atrium Health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies while caring for patients.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists provider with procedures and performs lab duties per CLIA waivers and orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication administration rights.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and supports training of teammates as needed.
• Communicates effectively with patients and team; supports referral and scheduling processes.
