Atrium Health seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to support frontline patient care in various Charlotte-area clinics. You will perform essential rooming tasks, collect specimens, and assist with procedures under provider supervision.

Strong communication and teamwork are required alongside proficient computer and EMR skills. You will be responsible for accurate vital signs, medication reviews, health maintenance screenings, and ensuring a safe, clean clinical environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or may have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.

Aufgaben

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, medical history, health maintenance, and screenings.
• Assists provider with or performs procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen collection/labeling/packing, prep of orders and results tracking; may perform POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following the rights of administration.
• Performs other duties such as referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.
• Cross trained to perform duties across clinic specialties and supports patient messaging and safety logs.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and ensures equipment is in working order.
