University of Utah Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at Level III to support patient care and assist licensed staff in a busy clinical setting. The role includes phlebotomy, injections, and clerical support across departments.

The incumbent may access medications within scope and is expected to work rotating schedules, including nights and weekends, to meet 24/7 patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Participation in at least two additional, pre-approved operational activities.
• In good standing with the organization, with no disciplinary action in the past rolling calendar year.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures per clinic procedures (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and medical history).
• Reports patient concerns and changes in condition to licensed staff.
• Performs CLIA waived lab tests and reports results to the appropriate personnel.
• Performs injections (IM, SubQ, intradermal) and other skills like sutures and catheterization as trained.
• Acts as chaperone during examinations and assists with procedures.
• Monitors and cleans examination rooms and restocks supplies as needed.
• Schedules appointments and diagnostic tests under licensed staff direction.
• Handles routine clerical tasks and files medical information in patient records.
