Job summary

Appalachian Mountain Health seeks a detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Quality role to support patient intake, data entry, and clinical workflows. You will participate in quality initiatives, coordinate with providers, and help ensure accurate records and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include attending meetings, training staff, managing schedules, and assisting with vaccines and patient communications in a busy primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with patients and staff.
• Proficient with medical office software and scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows.
• Experience with EHR documentation and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Attend Monthly Quality Staff Meetings and relay important updates to providers and staff.
• Attend weekly SOP call and relay important updates to appropriate providers/staff.
• Train Medical Assistants on procedures, workflows and quality metrics.
• Maintain knowledge of Quality Metrics and clinic performance.
• Manage Medical Assistant schedules and daily workflows.
• Oversee vaccine inventory and NCIR compliance.
• Support providers with patient intake, specimen collection, and immunizations.
