Pediatric Associates in Miami is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support clinicians and care teams in pediatric care. The role combines clinical and administrative duties to promote health and safety, including vaccine handling, patient education, and ensuring room readiness.

Candidates should have MA certification, a high school diploma, and a BLS certification, with 5+ years of MA experience preferred. Travel to other office locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma/Certification required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Upon hire, and for the duration of the employment period driver’s license.
• Experience of 5+ years in medical assisting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform MA I and MA II duties at an advanced level.
• Lead daily clinic workflow and resolve patient flow issues.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, tracking, and maintaining supplies and vaccines.
• Oversee vaccine storage, cold chain compliance, and excursion response.
• Train and mentor staff; conduct competency validations.
• Serve as clinical resource for procedures, policies, and workflows.
• Support complex procedures and ensure readiness of rooms and equipment.
• Lead quality improvement efforts and ensure KPI adherence.
• Conduct audits and support compliance activities (e.g., AAAHC readiness).
• Ensure accurate incident reporting and follow-up.
• Troubleshoot complex operational and equipment issues.
• Provide advanced patient education including post-care instructions.
• Monitor staff adherence to clinical and documentation standards.
• Support Practice Manager as operational backup.
• Coordinate communication across providers, staff, and leadership.
• Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of clinical equipment.
• Lead by example in safety, compliance, and patient experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
