Job summary

Providence is seeking a Medical Assistant IV to support patient care under direct supervision of a licensed practitioner. This role performs MA I–III duties and takes on a lead position across complex areas, guiding ambassadors, change agents and preceptors within the clinic.

The candidate will join a team focused on patient-centered care, maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality service in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program
• Completion of MA apprenticeship program
• Two years medical training in US Armed Forces
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• 3 years medical assisting experience in a clinic
• 3 years customer service in a fast-paced environment with discretion
• 6 months in a PSJH clinic within last 3 years or 18 months as Lead MA in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner.
• Perform MA I–III duties as directed to support patient care.
• Lead or supervise ambassadors, change agents, quality champions and preceptors within the clinic.
• Collaborate with clinic team to ensure high-quality patient care.
