Job summary

Providence Saint John's Medical Foundation in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant IV to support patient care under a licensed practitioner. The MA IV performs all MA I‑III duties and may serve in a leadership role, overseeing ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic.

The role requires 3 years of medical assisting in a clinic, strong customer service, completion of an accredited program, BLS within 30 days of hire, and ideally National Medical

Qualifications

• 3 years of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
• 3 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• The MA IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care.
• The MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic.
