Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR 1+ years of directly related experience without certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision.
• Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks (for MA II/III as needed).
• Supportive patient care in assigned clinical area under physician/RN/LVN supervision.
• Perform tasks delegated by physician or RN.
• Learn and perform high-level clinical procedures as needed.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
