Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks Medical Assistant candidates at levels I, II, and III. Final placement will reflect qualifications and experience, with supervision by licensed medical professionals and increasing responsibilities at higher levels.

Primary duties include supporting patient care, ensuring safety and comfort, and performing delegated tasks; MA II adds injectables and advanced clinical tasks; MA III may perform high-level procedures and mentor others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of related experience if uncertified.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• MA I: provide supportive patient care under supervision and ensure safety.
• MA II: includes all MA I duties plus administer injectables and advanced clinical tasks; requires more experience or certification.
• MA III: includes MA I & II duties; perform high-level clinical procedures and mentor less experienced staff.
