Overview: Sentara Neurology Specialists are seeking to hire a Senior Certified Medical Assistant.
Position Location: Norfolk, VA
Position Status: Full-Time, Days
Overview: Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification: Must have one of the following Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT)
BLS Certification: required within 90 days of hire
Experience: Patient Care experience of 3 years required.
