Spero Health is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant to join our team in Richmond, KY, and Danville, KY!

*** This position will work at both clinic locations: Mon/Wed/Fri (Richmond) & Tue/Thurs (Danville) ***

This role supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope, and Restoring Relationships” within an integrated team providing counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment. The Senior Medical Assistant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Scheduling patient appointments
• Answering incoming calls and checking voice messages regularly
• Performing urine drug screens, taking vitals, assisting with patient evaluations
• Calling in patient medications as directed by the Physician
• Inputting accurate patient information into the electronic health record
• Sending prior authorizations to insurance companies
• Performing daily financial summaries and balancing payments received
• Responsible for cash collection and benefits verification
• Reviewing the Prescription Monitoring Database
• Providing education and resource information regarding medications

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred

Experience:

• At least 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role
• Phlebotomy and lab experience strongly preferred
• Experience with injections preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification
