Salary Range: $18.12 - $27.76, based on experience.

The Medical Assistant will assist physicians with various patient care tasks, including clerical, environmental, and organizational responsibilities, to ensure patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, specimen collection, and preparation for exams.
• Record patient information, take vitals, and perform screenings per provider guidelines.
• Relay instructions to patients and families.
• Manage and send/receive patient records in compliance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referrals.
• Complete required forms and requisitions.
• Prepare and organize charts, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and update patient demographics.
• Prepare exam rooms, set up instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies.
• Coordinate patient flow and answer calls, providing patient education as needed.
• Perform clinic procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisting physicians.
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, and health department regulations, maintaining confidentiality.
• Administer injectable medications and vaccines under supervision.
• Handle front office duties and other assigned tasks.
