Job summary

Cytel is seeking an experienced Medical Affairs & HTA Statistician to provide strategic and technical statistical support across the product lifecycle, with emphasis on Medical Affairs, real-world evidence, and HTA.

You will translate clinical and observational data into robust evidence for patients, clinicians, payers, and healthcare systems, combining statistics with scientific judgement and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Senior-level statistical/biostatistical experience in pharma or healthcare.
• Experience delivering Medical Affairs and/or HTA statistical work packages.
• Broad methodological expertise in clinical, observational, real-world data.
• Experience in RWE, epidemiology, comparative effectiveness, indirect treatment comparisons, or HTA/HEOR.
• Understanding evidence-generation across the pharmaceutical lifecycle.
• Ability to assess data quality, bias, uncertainty, and applicability of evidence.
• Experience communicating statistics in publications and discussions.
• Strong scientific judgement, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical leadership for Medical Affairs and HTA evidence-generation activities.
• Support development of evidence strategies addressing clinical, payer and healthcare questions.
• Design and analyse observational and real-world evidence studies.
• Apply epidemiological and statistical methods to real-world and clinical data.
• Conduct comparative-effectiveness assessments and indirect treatment comparisons.
• Support synthetic-control approaches and Phase IV studies.
• Apply HTA/HEOR methodologies to evidence packages for access decisions.
• Assess data quality and communicate uncertainty for HTA submissions.
• Translate complex analyses into clear scientific conclusions.
• Support publications and congress activities as required.
• Apply modern analytical methods, including machine learning where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Development Statistics, Epidemiology, and external partners.
• Communicate statistical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
