RH Strategic in Washington, DC is seeking an Account Supervisor, Media Relations to guide top technology, education, and healthcare clients through earned media strategies and policy conversations.

You will lead a team, build strong relationships with national journalists, shape narratives for decision-makers, and ensure high-impact coverage across print, digital, and broadcast. This full-time role requires residence in the DMV and three days on-site.

Qualifications

• Six or more years leading earned media strategies with national/policy-focused coverage.
• Experience advising clients in technology, education, or healthcare sectors.
• Deep DC media/policy landscape knowledge and strong journalist relationships.
• Proven ability to translate complex issues into compelling narratives for decision-makers.
• Leadership in managing integrated media programs and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute earned media strategies for client objectives and policy conversations.
• Develop fresh storytelling angles to break through the media ecosystem.
• Secure top-tier media placements across print, digital, and broadcast outlets.
• Build and maintain strong media relationships; mentor junior staff on outreach.
• Counsel clients on media positioning, narratives, and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee development of media materials; ensure consistency with goals.
• Advise on reputational, crisis, and rapid response communications.
• Measure impact of earned media and refine strategy based on insights.
