Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, Florence, NJ, is seeking a Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution systems.

You will mentor technicians, design solutions for difficult problems, and manage projects within the Operations Maintenance team. This on-site role requires hands-on experience with conveyors, robotics, and control systems; travel up to 20%; lifting up to 49 lbs; and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts, including weekends/nights/holidays.
• 3+ years of preventive maintenance experience.
• 3+ years reading blueprints and schematics.
• 2+ years of work order management.
• Preferred: 5+ years with automated conveyors and controls; 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical field.
• Leadership and vendor management experience; experience with robotics maintenance will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors, etc.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Develop training plans for service technicians.
• Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
• Travel up to 20% at a minimum.
