Job summary

Epia Neuro in Alameda, CA, seeks a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to drive the electro-mechanical development of the hand exoskeleton from benchtop prototype to clinical study readiness. You will lead cross‑functional integration with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and controls teams.

The role requires 5–7 years in robotics or mechatronics, strong hardware–software integration, and embedded firmware experience.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in robotics, mechatronics, or complex electromechanical systems.
• Proven track record developing integrated hardware from concept through validation.
• Experience with hardware–software integration and real-time control.

Responsibilities

• Drive electro-mechanical development of the exoskeleton from benchtop prototype to scalable system.
• Own end-to-end development of actuator modules and sensor subsystems including requirements, design tradeoffs, and performance optimization.
• Lead cross-functional integration across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and controls domains.
