Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Automated Technician in Auburn Hills, MI to diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced automated material handling systems. You will work with ASRS crane systems, autonomous forklifts, AMRs, and Cognex vision systems to keep equipment reliable and safe.

You will read blueprints and OEM manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and mentor junior technicians while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotics.
• Experience in high-volume automated distribution environments with ASRS, AMRs, or autonomous vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by following safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on ASRS crane systems, AMRs, and conveyors; document work in Maximo.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control issues across SGVs and ASRS systems.
• Read blueprints and OEM manuals to diagnose and resolve failures on automated equipment.
• Track maintenance inventory and collaborate across Operations and facilities.
• Mentor other technicians and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain flexible work schedules to support operational needs.
