Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is hiring a System Engineer to own system-level requirements and drive cross-domain integration across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software subsystems.

You will lead architecture trade studies and maintain critical interfaces between hardware and software, ensuring verifiable V&V plans and robust DFMEA across EVT to PVT. The role requires 8+ years of systems engineering experience on electromechanical products, with hands-on CAD/Altium proficiency and a willingness

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in systems engineering of complex electromechanical or mechatronic products, including embedded/host software.
  • Prototype-to-production journey: hardware and software product from MVP through to manufacturable release.
  • Cross-domain fluency across CAD drawings, electrical schematics, firmware/sensor specs, and software architecture.
  • Hands-on proficiency with CAD and circuit-design tools; some coding ability (Python/C++) for tooling.
  • Curiosity and initiative around AI; ability to validate AI-enabled tooling.
  • Reliability & test methodology knowledge (DFMEA, DVP&R, root-cause analysis, V&V).
  • Robotics, sensors, tactile sensing, or dexterous manipulation background; broad electromechanical/embedded software exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Own system requirements and maintain SRS/ICD across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and sensor subsystems.
  • Lead architecture trade studies and resolve cross-disciplinary conflicts.
  • Define and maintain interfaces between sensor hardware and software stack (calibration, drivers, data formats).
  • Own V&V plan and FMEA process across EVT/DVT/PVT; translate failure risk into design/tests.
  • Bridge prototype to production; identify manufacturability and yield risks; collaborate with process and CM partners.
  • Define and negotiate system-level interfaces with external collaborators and customers.
  • Build lightweight systems-engineering tooling and documentation standards for the team.
