Job summary

General Motors Company in Michigan is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Mechatronic Infrastructure, to lead execution of basic software and infrastructure-tooling programs that support next-generation electrical architectures.

You will drive strategy to execution, align stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams, manage risk, and ensure on-time delivery while balancing scope and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science or a related field.
• At least two years of project or program management experience.
• At least five years of experience in embedded controls, software architecture, systems engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven success leading technically complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end.
• Ability to analyze complex design problems and make data-driven decisions in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own deliverables for one or more basic software (BSW) and/or infrastructure-tooling products.
• Scope and deliver enterprise-scale infrastructure programs with stakeholders.
• Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, timelines and milestones.
• Lead programs from requirements through deployment with risk mitigation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to hit scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Establish operating rhythms for intake, prioritization and decision-making.
• Identify risks and present concise status, options and recommendations.
• Report program health and revise scope or budget as needed to meet objectives.
• Create and maintain core program documents and readiness criteria.
• Lead process creation and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain relationships with client and engineering stakeholders as day-to-day contact.
• Translate complex engineering issues into clear business decisions for leadership.
