Job summary

Radiant is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanisms to design and develop critical components for their innovative nuclear microreactors. This position involves responsibilities in designing actuators and valves, performing detailed analysis, and leading supplier development efforts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing mechanisms.
• Experience performing stress analysis using finite element tools.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of critical mechanisms such as the control blade actuator.
• Conduct trade studies to develop designs that meet program requirements.
• Perform thermomechanical and kinematic analysis.
• Develop and execute manufacturing/assembly instructions.
• Create and manage a Bill-Of-Materials (BOM).
• Develop suppliers for key components.
