Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Test Engineer for on-site responsibilities at Weirton, WV. You will own mechanical test execution across multi-pack assets, drive root-cause analysis, and report telemetry data to design and test teams.

This role requires translating DFMEAs into rigorous test plans and coordinating with CA engineers. You will work closely with the California team to develop and refine requirements, deploy test rigs, and ensure safe, compliant lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical test engineering, structural/vibration testing, fluidic system validation, or physical laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Translate mechanical, structural, fluidic requirements and DFMEAs into actionable test plans (VERTs/VALs) following the Test @ Form process.
• Lead physical test execution across module stands, auxiliary skids, and multi-pack test assets in Weirton, WV.
• Execute campaigns including structural loading, transportation vibration/shock, seismic simulation, and fluidic handling loops.
• Calibrate mechanical test rigs, pressure decay fixtures, strain gauge layouts, accelerometers, load cells, and flow/pressure instrumentation.
• Act as the on-site triager for mechanical or fluidic anomalies, applying testing techniques to isolate root causes.
• Process raw telemetry to validate data integrity and craft clear test reports for CA and WV teams.
• Enforce safety protocols and 5S standards in the laboratory.
