Job summary

Howard Energy Partners in West Texas is seeking a skilled Mechanic III to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment across pumps, engines, and compressors at production sites. The role requires hands-on maintenance, testing, and startup of power-driven equipment.

You will work with safety procedures, maintain logs, and respond to emergencies as part of the area response team; a high school diploma and 5+ years' mechanical experience are preferred, along with a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5+ years mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of reciprocating engines and associated components required.
• Must have a current driver's license and good driving record.
• The ability to take callouts and work overtime is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment to ensure reliability.
• Maintain centrifugal pumps, electric motors, bearings, seals, and valves.
• Repair engines, compressors, pumps, and generators; perform testing and startup.
• Complete safety reviews and safety meetings per regulations.
• Maintain logs of engine hours, oil sampling, and parts inventories.
• Respond to emergencies as part of area response team.
