Job summary

ORBIS Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Engineering Technician (Mechanical) to support overhaul, repair, and preventive maintenance for U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers and Surface Ships.

You will operate on board US Naval vessels in San Diego and oversee technical execution with a focus on HM&E and propulsion systems. The role requires extensive naval maintenance experience, leadership, and Navy 3-M expertise, with duties to train Ship's Force personnel to sustain operations during deployments.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years of experience in operations, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment on U.S. Naval ships.
• Four (4) years directing or supervising a workforce of skilled technicians.
• Five (5) years in Navy 3-M and supply system administration.
• Five (5) years experience with shipboard propulsion or nuclear propulsion plants maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Find, fix, and train Ship's Force equipment operators and maintenance technicians to enable effective deployments.
• Provide technical guidance for maintenance, including logistical support, on aircraft carriers and surface ships.
