Qualifications

• Eight years experience in operation, repair, and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion hull, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Two years experience in a supervisor/leadership role preferred.
• Associate Degree may substitute for up to two years of technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and planning for overhaul and repair of equipment and systems on US Navy carriers and ships.
• Provide technical guidance for maintenance, including logistics, and train Ship's Force personnel to operate and repair equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and mechanical data related to naval hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Conduct and support on-board maintenance activities on carriers and surface ships.
