Job summary

ORBIS Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician (Electrical) to support overhaul and repair of equipment for U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and surface ships. The role involves on-board work in San Diego, CA, providing expert maintenance support and training to ship's force personnel.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in naval propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to guide maintenance efforts for HM&E and C4I equipment in a shipboard environment.

Qualifications

• Eight years experience operating, repairing, and maintaining naval/marine propulsion hull, mechanical, electrical or electronic systems is highly desired.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams or other mechanical data for naval hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Two years experience in a supervisor/leadership role of subordinates is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work will be performed on board US Naval vessels located in San Diego, CA.
• Provide Navy ships with experts in ship systems maintenance for preventive and equipment maintenance training.
• Find, Fix, and Train ship's force operators and technicians to enable maintenance during deployments.
• Offer technical guidance for maintenance including logistical support across HM&E, aviation equipment, and C4I systems.
