Corning Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Technician to provide hands-on support across the full lifecycle of manufacturing equipment, from installation to startup and turnover. You’ll work on domestic and international sites, directing contract trades and ensuring equipment readiness on active project teams.

This field-forward role requires deep mechanical expertise, strong safety focus, and the ability to coordinate multi-site efforts while maintaining highest quality standards.

Competenze

• AAS or higher in mechanical tech with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to work hands-on with equipment and standard measuring tools.
• Experience interpreting drawings/schematics for troubleshooting.
• Understanding of process variables (flow, temp, pressure, level).
• Proven safety focus on job sites in manufacturing/construction environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; full-time deployment.
• Experience with precision measurement tools like tape measures and calipers.

Mansioni

• Provide hands-on mechanical support across construction, installation, debug and startup of equipment.
• Assess condition and usability of existing equipment; perform setup and turnover.
• Direct outside contract trades during installation, demolition, testing, and debug phases.
• Troubleshoot and replace defective components; implement changes.
• Create and update installation docs, checklists, drawings, and specs; coordinate with drafting services.
