Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado Springs seeks a highly capable engineer to perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation for total systems and IT-related responsibilities including hardware/software design and analysis.

Role requires reading engineering drawings, AutoCAD experience, and a basic understanding of network design; you must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and work in confined spaces. Hands-on use of diagnostic tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in support of hardware installations.
• Basic understanding of network design.
• Able to lift to 55 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Hands-on experience with multimeters, cable testers, fiber-optic testers, and similar diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation for total systems.
• Conduct cost and risk analyses and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
• Design, develop, and analyze computer systems or programs based on user or system design specifications.
• Consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications considering schedule and cost constraints.
