Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Systems professional to lead integration of mechanical subsystems for a next-gen MILSATCOM capability. You will define interfaces, support requirements decomposition, and drive anomaly investigations with the SEIT team.

The role emphasizes design reviews, risk management, and ensuring manufacturability of complex space hardware. The position requires extensive spacecraft experience, Creo CAD proficiency, and an active DOD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Missile/space segment architecture, design and test across subsystems.
• Spacecraft integration experience across multiple subsystems.
• Proven technical leadership and closure of issues.
• Familiar with systems engineering fundamentals for reliability.
• Creo CAD modeling and reading mechanical drawings.
• Geometric tolerancing and dimensioning expertise.
• Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration for mechanical subsystems.
• Define mechanical interfaces and trade options with Requirements.
• Support requirement decomposition with the Requirements team.
• Drive anomaly investigations to closure.
• Lead trade studies for mechanical systems and options.
• Review data and documents; provide feedback on technical documents.
• Support systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve build flow and test efficiencies.
