Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead mechanical system design work for advanced nuclear projects. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, procurement activities, and design verification to ensure regulatory compliance and high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or Nuclear Engineering.
• Master's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in engineering with mechanical or process design.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary and detailed design of mechanical systems such as main condenser and interfacing systems.
• Serve as backup system engineer and lead engineer for several weeks when required.
• Coordinate procurement, design calculations, P&ID prep, vendor and client coordination, and document reviews.
• Support NRC design certification processes for Company Products.
