Job summary

MWH Constructors in the United States is seeking a Lead Mechanical Superintendent to support the construction of a Water Treatment Plant in the Gresham, OR area. You will supervise the process mechanical installation and manage the installation subcontractor to align with the project plan, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.

From groundbreaking to closeout, you will review subcontractor plans, coordinate with other trades, inspect work, and ensure compliance with drawings

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant construction industry & supervision experience.
• Familiarity with current standards for process mechanical in water infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality control, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of crews and maintain a safe work environment.
• Review and approve subcontractor construction schedules and long lead equipment dates.
• Review and approve subcontractor work plans and BIM information.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities with other trades and liaise with engineering and project management.
• Review shop drawings and submittals related to mechanical work.
• Manage field inspections and ensure quality control and assurance.
• Plan and coordinate field testing and inspections per contract requirements.
• Document compliance with QC procedures and report noncompliance issues.
• Monitor safety compliance and enforce corrective actions.
• Attend progress meetings and provide status updates on project and quality control.
