Job summary

MWH Constructors in Gresham, Oregon is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support preconstruction and construction efforts on critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant projects for municipal and industrial clients. You will assist with procurement, planning, scheduling, and project controls, ensuring compliance with permits, codes, and drawings.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of construction management experience, with familiarity of Primavera,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction, design, and management experience/knowledge.
• Experience on heavy civil or industrial construction projects.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials and standards.
• Familiarity with project management databases such as Primavera Contract Manager, Expedition, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist subcontractor procurement, package development, site layout, materials and equipment procurement, submittal review, and project controls.
• Perform quality inspections and verify work complies with permits, codes, drawings and specs.
• Prepare and disseminate documents such as submittals, status reports and calculations.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work and change orders.
• Prepare work method statements and obtain required approvals and permits.
• Research resolutions to drawing interpretation problems and initiate RFIs.
• Layout building control lines and elevations for accurate installation.
• Establish office procedures for administration of construction contracts.
• Implement project controls for distribution and records of correspondence and technical documents.
• Review correspondence; minutes; pay applications; schedule; RFIs and progress reports.
• Ensure project management systems are up-to-date.
• Assist with contractor claims, change orders, and records.
• Assist estimating with quantity takeoffs and subcontractor/vendor solicitation.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
