Job summary

MWH Constructors in Gresham, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to manage field operations for structural and civil concrete on water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, oversee safety and quality, and ensure work aligns with schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil construction with strong leadership, familiarity with formwork systems, and proficiency in project documentation and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy civil construction experience with 5 years in a superintendent/foreman role.
• Proven background in structural and civil concrete for water/wastewater facilities.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, layout, reinforcement, and safety compliance.
• Ability to supervise concrete work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Understanding of schedules, cost control, and productivity tracking.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations for concrete placement, forming, rebar installation and finishing.
• Coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and superintendents to ensure safety and quality.
• Interpret drawings and specs to plan sequence work efficiently.
• Support manpower/equipment scheduling and material deliveries.
• Track progress, quantities, and labor hours; report variances to leadership.
• Collaborate with QC and owners to maintain schedule and resolve issues.
• Ensure QA/QC standards for rebar, mixes, testing, and placement procedures.
