Job summary

Jobot in Utah seeks a seasoned Mechanical Superintendent for self-perform wastewater treatment plant construction. You will supervise on-site crews, manage equipment and labor, and work with PMs, engineers, and subcontractors to meet milestones.

The role requires 7–10 years in heavy civil construction with 5+ years in superintendent positions, strong piping/earthwork knowledge, and proficiency with blueprints and schedules. OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of heavy civil construction experience, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role overseeing self-perform operations.
• Strong understanding of process/mechanical/yard piping, earthwork, utilities, structural concrete, paving, and other heavy civil scopes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, project specifications, and construction schedules.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not a must
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour safety training, CPR and First Aid certification, and a valid driver’s license are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on-site activities for self-perform crews, ensuring compliance with project plans, schedules, and specifications.
• Develop and implement detailed work plans to optimize crew productivity and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.
• Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Manage labor force, including scheduling, training, and mentoring team members to ensure peak performance.
• Monitor project budgets, labor costs, and material usage to ensure profitability.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential schedule delays to meet project milestones.
