Job summary

Jobot seeks a Permanent Mechanical Superintendent to lead our mechanical construction projects in Indianapolis, IN. You will supervise crews, ensure safety, manage scheduling, and control costs to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, at least 5 years in a similar role, OSHA-30 certification, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate trades and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• OSHA-30 certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate crew members and foremen, ensuring adequate training.
• Enforce all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Manage and resolve conflicts or issues professionally.
• Identify potential problems and troubleshoot before escalation.
• Oversee construction scheduling and cost control to meet deadlines and budget.
• Handle administrative duties and paperwork for the position.
• Set and manage performance goals and time management for the team.
• Maintain a calm, diplomatic demeanor under pressure.
