Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead day-to-day activities of crews on commercial construction projects.

You will provide guidance on budgeting and scheduling and ensure quality and customer satisfaction while performing skilled tasks as a working superintendent. You will schedule and coordinate with multiple crafts and departments, liaise with engineering and estimating, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as General Foreman/Superintendent or equivalent.
• Experience supervising large crews (20+).
• Knowledge of man hour reports, job cost reports, workforce planning and estimating.
• Advanced understanding of construction cost control, forecasting and goal setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work across varied disciplines.
• Ability to present information to customers and colleagues.
• OSHA 30 and CPR.
• Read and interpret design drawings, design guides, specifications and contract documents.
• Multi-task with minimal supervision, attention to detail, problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field crew, subcontractor and craft activities, including determining construction methods, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and scheduling.
• Coordinate work of different crafts, departments, and other contractors.
• Perform a wide range of skilled construction tasks.
• Liaise with engineering, estimating, and project teams to ensure drawings and scheduling are met.
• Coordinate with Quality Control and Engineering for materials and inspections.
• Resolve problems in construction, monitor productivity, and enforce safety program requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
