Qualifications

• Bachelors (or Associates) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of QA/QC in metal fabrication with welding exposure.
• Familiarity with AWS, ASME, IX, B31.1, B31.3, NACE, AISC, ASNT, API.
• Experience with dimensional inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier manufacturing and fabrication through inspections, audits and review of quality records.
• Verify compliance of structural steel, pressure vessels, skids, mechanical equipment with project specs and codes.
• Perform or coordinate welding, bolting, dimensional accuracy, erection, painting, installation and alignment inspections.
• Establish inspection and testing procedures and develop QC plans for project requirements.
• Evaluate vendor documentation and inspection results; coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate quality failures via root cause analysis and track corrective actions to resolution.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to management, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Review project codes/specs and support design reviews to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Coordinate vendor inspections and third-party inspectors with clients and procurement/logistics staff.
• Maintain inspection schedules, calibration records, NCRs, OS&D logs, and other QA records.
• Maintain commissioning and MDR documentation and review final MDR books as required.
• Organize quality meetings and distribute minutes; expand third-party inspection sourcing database.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members; perform other duties as assigned by QA/QC Director.
